I pet sit full-time between Kelowna, Vernon, Kamloops, Penticton, Vancouver, Washington State, Portland Oregon & the West Coast Islands with full availability to travel within North America. I will arrange a video call to get to know about your pet or house sitting needs.
CatsNDogStuff began as a way to keep myself busy while I worked remote as a Lifestyle Coach (see more here) and now it has grown into a nice community of people who need their homes and pets cared for while they are away!

When I got sick right after Alison arrived, she didn’t panic—she scooped up me and my sister Ninja and took us straight to the vet (rude, but necessary). Now I’m on some fancy food that’s helping my little urinary tract feel way better. Ninja’s just glad Alison stopped dragging her on road trips. These days, we lounge in the sun by the window while Alison finishes work, and at 4:00 sharp, we all dance around the living room as the sun dips behind the mountains. She really gets us. 10/10, would let her be our human again. ~ Mates (The Grateful Cat)

Gracie and I are lucky to have had Alison stay for the month of March. When meeting via zoom for a 'get to know you', Alison was calm, friendly and knowledgeable about cats. When we met the night before I left, she arrived right on schedule and fit right into our evening activities and learning about the house and Grace. When I'm out of the country and gone for a month, I so appreciate a sitter coming in early for this type of hand over. Alison kept in touch the perfect amount. If there was something that came up she would connect but otherwise was quite self sufficient. Grace was relaxed and happy when I got home. Alison even taught me a trick with one of her toys to make getting treats more of an adventure than just me giving them to her. I highly recommend Alison and hope she will consider coming back some time. ~ Lisa

Alison was a great communicator throughout the entire two-week sit, as well as pre- and post. She took excellent care of our two cats, including giving one of them a daily medication and sending us occasional pictures as reassurance. She also dealt admirably with an unexpected plumbing challenge, and left our home in spotless condition. I would trust her to sit again in a heartbeat, thank you Alison! ~ Laura

We feel so lucky to have had Alison look after our 2 beloved dogs and our home, for the month of December. We worried that finding a sitter over Christmas would be challenging ... we hit the Lotto, in finding Alison!! Not only is she a fabulous pet sitter, but she is also a wonderful person. Alison faced some challenges with our pooches, and with our "new to us" home ... and she handled everything with ease. She had to take our senior dog to the Vet, and she stayed in contact with us through the whole process, and handled all follow-up care, exceptionally well. Alison is very organized, self-sufficient and tidy. We returned from our holiday, to happy boys (aka - dogs) and a spotless house. We highly recommend Alison, and we look forward to the next time we see our new friend. ~ Susen

Alison looked after both the house and Freddie, my 6 year old Sheltie, with great care and consideration. She was very experienced in looking after a home, and was thorough in getting to know the house and all that was expected in looking after it and Freddie. While I was away she sent regular short updates with photos so that I could see that Freddie was doing well, and I returned to a happy and healthy dog and a perfectly clean home. I would highly recommend Alison, and I will remain in contact with her in the hopes that I can coordinate my travel with her availability to house and pet sit for me. ~ Rae

Alison was amazing from the start! We don't have kids with my husband so our puppy and 2 kitties are very much our children. I contacted Alison based on her website and her answers were prompt, she met us ahead of time, during first visit she immediately befriended our pets and asked a lot of great questions. And during our time away we had regular messages and pictures how everyone is doing. We could see our babies were comfortable and well cared for. We came home to tidy house and relaxed pets. Hey guys, I’m Theo — the goodest boy and proud guardian of daily adventures! Aunty Alison has been staying with me for over 3 months now, while Karen has been away and let me tell you… we’ve been having the BEST time! We go on epic walks and hikes every day and I’ve been showing her all my favorite sniff-spots.
I think I’ve trained her pretty well. Belly rubs are on schedule, snacks are flowing, and the vibes are just right. Life is pawsitively perfect. ~ Theodore (The Dog)

Hi! My name is Reggie (The Cat)... My mom keeps telling Auntie Alison that she will write a review for her, but my mom keeps forgetting! I really wish that Auntie would come back soon and take care of me because she is really good at cuddling on the couch and feeds me lots of treats when I cry for 5 minutes! I can't believe how clean my litter box was and she kept vacuuming up behind me. I shed a lot, but my fur is a dream to touch so I keep close to Auntie at all times. Alison was an amazing dog sitter! She treated Reggie so well, she took him to the dog park and on walks in the park. He got more exercise with her than he does with us! She was so thoughtful and prepared as well about making she sure had all of his vet information, and neighbours contact information “just in case”. She also left a little card and treat for my kids for when we got home from our trip. I was not expecting that but it was so sweet of her. While on a video chat with Alison, I could tell she was going to be the purrrfect sitter for us and I was not disappointed. Pablo takes awhile to warm up to people and Alison sent pictures showing they were bonding quite nicely. The house was nice and tidy and our sheets were freshly washed which is much appreciated after a long day of travel home. I would highly recommend Alison and have invited her for a future sit. Alison surpassed my wildest expectations as a house/pet sitter. She arrived early, totally organized, took notes on care for all of my pets, practiced handling my parrot, paid attention to all the nuances of cat care, and won my dog over in no time. Alison was visibly excited that my dog’s favourite thing in the world was to go for long walks and just be with her. Alison’s overt love of animals was the most important thing to me. Alison was so pleased to experience so many different places to walk, just out the front door! We arrived home to an immaculate home and incredible happy pets, who were all sad to see Alison leave. Alison is an excellent sitter! First, and foremost, she is great at communicating. We had a lovely Face Time introduction, which was a first for us, and we felt secure in our selection. For this trip, we had an opportunity to leave a day early and offered for Alison to arrive early. Although it wasn't planned, she was able to make it work and arrived shortly after we left. Throughout our trip, Alison sent photos and kept us updated on her stay. She left us reassured that our pets (and house) were well taken care of. Upon our return, the sheets were cleaned and replaced, the floors were swept and the house was in immaculate condition. I'm not sure if it's our cats, or Alison has a gift, but they didn't miss us at all! I highly recommend Alison as a pet (and house) sitter and I hope to have her come back again! ~ Tom
